Personal

My name is Jim Sare. I live near Detroit, Michigan, USA. I have a son Jimmy who is 19, and daughter Katy who is 17. I also have another daughter, Alicia, who is 28 and moved away from the nest in pursuit of her career since graduating from Michigan State University in December 1997. I am extremely proud of my 3 children. They are great kids. They stay well-focused on the things that really matter in life, and they have fun doing it.

I am currently re-establishing my independent consultant work using dBASE as my primary development tool.

I also teach. I have been teaching for about 25 years. I am a strong believer in passing along the knowledge I have gained such that others may benefit. I have taught computer classes in a local school district for their Staff Development and Community Education programs.

I have also presented papers at Developer's Conferences, was a former member of Borland's TeamB and a current member of the dBVIPS.
